Reconciling schemas and data types

Integrating data from multiple sources often means reconciling different record layouts and diverse data types. DataLever offers many tools that simplify this process. DataLever supports a wide variety of data types, including Date, DateTime, and Time data types; it includes numerous functions for manipulating fields of these data types and reconciling multiple formats for these types.

Generating unique keys

If your database requires a unique key field, or if you just want to add one to each record, DataLever gives you a simple way to add a unique ID field and combine the data fields and the ID field into a single record. You can even generate a “data dependent” ID to form a unique key value that always corresponds to the same information across updates.

Enforcing unique key constraints

If you are loading a table possessing a unique key, you cannot load two records containing the same key value. DataLever addresses this problem with tools to double-check the data and identify records that are duplicated across the key field. You can then reprocess the records to give them unique key values, or just browse the duplicates to analyze the rejected records.
